My mother bought a car from a private seller on 8/8/2010. She paid $675. She's had nothing but problems with it, and today the engine went. Does the lemon law apply to private deals, outside of dealerships? Also, the gentleman she purchased the car from has cars for sale in his yard often, I've counted 11 since my mother's purchase; Isn't there a law where you can only privately sell 4 or 5 cars a year without a special license, that he doens not have?
